There’s something magical that happens when we get outside, particularly into nature. We breathe a little deeper, laugh a little freer and step a little lighter. The connection with one another and our environment when outdoors is worth any inconvenience Mother Nature can throw at us. I love capturing the smiles and laughter as families and children run along the beach, play amongst the trees or hike up a mountain. Photographing your family as you interact with each other in a natural way captures this time for your family far more that posed photography alone can ever do. Nature is the perfect backdrop and sunlight is the perfect light. This is true even when I photograph indoors as I do for newborn photography, as I bring the outdoors in with the use of natural light, colours and poses.
